Hayssen’s imPacked 2017 demonstrated a range of food packaging machinery operating in a variety of applications.

Several food industry sectors including IQF, snacks and confectionary were represented.

Yamato demonstrated its Alpha Advance multihead weigher in conjunction with Hayssen’s new Verus VFFS bagger. The Verus is a hygienic intermittent packaging machine designed for wet/IQF environments which produces high quality packs at a rate of up to 100 bags per minute (bpm).

The Alpha series of automatic multihead weighers deliver levels of high-speed weighing of 75 weighments per minute (wpm) by the 10-head model and 140 wpm by the 14-head model. High frequency load cells shorten the settle time of the weighing cycle to enable high-speed weighing.

Tony Crofts, sales and marketing director at Hayssen, said: “One of our core values is packaging solutions for multiple product ranges. We have a range of expertise across the various production processes that allows us to deliver turnkey solutions. We work in partnership with OEM suppliers like Yamato which delivers automatic weighers and checkweighers that integrate seamlessly with our baggers, wrappers and feed systems to deliver complete manufacturing lines.”

Andrea Spencer, commercial operations manager for Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK, said: “We are delighted that Hayssen asked us to join in for its imPacked 2017 event. It’s the biggest in-house demonstration event in the UK and it is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our weighing solutions in combination with leading bagging machines.
